Wilmington – January 13, 2010 -  Annual Children’s Champions Nomination Process Begins

Smart Start of New Hanover County is seeking nominations for Children’s Champions.  We are seeking nominations for individuals, groups, organizations, agencies, etc who have provided exceptional service to young children, birth through age 5, and their families in New Hanover County.

At Smart Start of New Hanover County, it is important to us to encourage action in our community that supports the early care and education of young children and their families. Each year we host the annual Breakfast for Children's Champions as an opportunity to recognize New Hanover County citizens, nominated by their peers, for their outstanding efforts on behalf of the young children in our area.  Children’s Champions will be honored at our annual Breakfast for Children’s Champions on April 27, 2010 at the Burney Center at the University of North Carolina-Wilmington.

Deadline for nominations is 5:00 pm on Monday, March 1, 2010.
