Will you have graduated with an Associate or Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education between July 1, 2009 and May 30, 2010? If so, you may be eligible for a graduation bonus of up to $350 from Smart Start of New Hanover County!

Dear CC Center Administrators and FCCH Providers:
Happy New Year! We are fortunate to be able to offer Professional Development Incentives again this semester to the child care community. The Professional Development Incentive (PDI) is a monetary incentive for educators who are enrolled in college coursework toward an Early Childhood Associate or Bachelors Degree. Each participating educator who successfully completes their coursework will receive a check from Smart Start of New Hanover County at the end of the semester, as long as they have remained employed at the same child care facility throughout the semester.
If you are currently taking college classes, we encourage you to visit the Professional Planning Services page to view the factsheet and download an application. Don’t delay-the due date for the Spring 2010 Professional Development application is Thursday, January 28th at 7:00pm. Applications should be mailed or delivered to:
