Biting is a challenging behavior that every childcare teacher will face at one time or another. It can be stressful for everyone involved: the children, the teachers, and the families. In most cases, it is developmentally appropriate, and children soon learn other ways to self-regulate. This workshop explores reasons why children bite, why it is developmentally appropriate, and some strategies to help children through this phase in development.
