Prevention & Control of Infectious Diseases                                6:30-7:30pm

Participants will learn about infectious diseases, how they are spread, and how to prevent and control the spread. The importance of
immunizations, proper hygiene, and sanitation routines, how to recognize ill children, and when to exclude children from care will also be covered. *Participants will also complete the Stay Healthy, Stay Clean: Sanitation Module workshop.

Stay Healthy, Stay Clean: Sanitation Module                       7:30-8:30pm

Participants will learn the difference between cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfecting. They will also learn how to clean, sanitize and disinfect, and when to clean common items in child care such as sleep areas, play areas, food areas, handwashing sinks, and toileting and diapering areas. Participants learn common sources of violations and issues to avoid.  *Participants will also complete the Prevention & Control of Infectious Diseases workshop.

Participants must attend both classes. 

*Cameras MUST be on and you must be in the camera frame for the duration of the workshop

*You must be at a stationary location (no shopping, cooking, driving, etc.) to minimize distraction for others

*Be prepared to actively participate during the training. From time to time during the class, you’ll be asked to share ideas or thoughts. Be prepared to turn on your mic to speak, or share in the chat box.
