Benefits of Sign Language for Children of ALL Ages

Sign language is for everyone! Children who learn sign language have better social emotional skills as they can better communicate their wants, needs, and feelings before they may ever speak a word. It allows children to begin the necessary skills to observe body language, facial expressions, and so much more! In this workshop, we will go over some simple ASL signs, discuss fun ways to integrate sign language into your day, and learn how to use ASL in a way that will not only benefit the children, but will help you with aiding in possible behaviors as well. Credit hours: 2.0 This workshop is for early childhood educators only.
