Promoting Social & Emotional Competence: An Introduction to the Pyramid Model

The Pyramid Model is a framework of evidence-based practices for promoting children’s healthy social and emotional development. Smart Start utilizes this framework when coaching teachers on how to create an inclusive classroom and promote social-emotional well-being. In this workshop, you will get an overview of the Pyramid Model and the different levels of supports. You’ll leave this workshop with a better understanding of the Pyramid Model, how Smart Start can help you implement its strategies, and how you can support the social, emotional, and behavioral development in children.
